For Musicians

Whether you're a single musician or a 15-person ensemble, a veteran or an amateur, a rocker, bluegrass player, sound artist or genre-less, your music can be on GoCast. Below are some suggestions for how you can share your music on GoCast, let us know if you have any other ideas.

MusicPoint
if you have composed a song about a place, or about something that happened there, or if you just think your song is a good soundtrack for some particular spot, you can create a Castpoint for it. Just create a user account for you or your group, follow the instructions for creating a CastPoint, and upload your song as the audio.

Cooperative Castpoints
you can use your GoCast account profile to make your music available to other GoCasters. If another member of the site wants to use your song in their Castpoint, they can request permission from you directly on your profile page.
(when you upload your music to GoCast, it will automatically be protected under a Creative Commons license that allows you to retain sole ownership of your content; but it is up to you to negotiate the terms of use when sharing your creative property.)

GoCast Musician Partnership
let us know that you'd like your song to be included in a CastPoint made by the GoCast staff. If we can find a use for it, we'll let you know, and your name and graphics will be featured on the site as a Musician Partner with a link to your homepage, MySpace account, or contact information, as well as the CastPoint in which you're featured.
